Saint George School has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools since 1980.
The activities of the accreditation protocol of Middle States concentrate on what schools are doing, not what they have done.
Modern accreditation is an activity, not a status.
The goal of the accreditation process is to have schools engage in a continuous improvement discipline. Schools are accredited today because of the way they move, not the way they stand. Saint George School is proud to be an accredited school in the Diocese of Erie.
Following a self-study, the school is visited by the evaluation team of the Middle States who gives recommendations for improvement.
Evaluation involves studying the school in a systemic way to ensure the school organizes and integrates the areas that demand more attention. These recommendations are then incorporated into a strategic action plan that is revisited three times during the next decade.
All diocesan high schools and elementary schools in Erie are accredited, and the remaining schools are in the process of achieving accreditation status.
Saint George School is proud to offer children academic excellence, leadership & faith development as an accredited school in Erie, PA.
