Financial Aid Programs
Saint George School Financial Aid is comprised of two programs:
The Star Foundation & Saint George Tuition Angel Program
The STAR FOUNDATION is funded through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Education Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) The EITC Program is a way for the business community to be directly involved in education. It enables companies to support local scholarship organizations instead of sending their tax dollars to Harrisburg.
The Saint George Tuition Angel Program was created in 1995 with the hope of responding to the call for tuition assistance. As a community, we want to offer a faith based Catholic education to those students who wish to attend a Catholic elementary school.
Both of these assistance programs are designed to help qualifying families the opportunity to have their children attend Saint George School. Financial assistance is available for families with children in preschool through grade 8.
Financial awards are determined by a formula that encompasses many factors, such as family income, size, and expenses. Families that qualify for financial aid assistance and are awarded are notified by letter in June.
Currently, we are able to award financial assistance in the form of grants to approximately 25% of our school families.
Through the generosity of grandparents and friends, local business owners (through the EITC Program), and estate giving to these two programs, we are able to help our families afford and provide a Catholic education.
Financial Aid forms are available online or in the school office.
