State Playoff Results
The Girls defeated Greensburg 47-25 on Friday, March 19 in the opening round of the state tournament at Blessed Sacrament. They play at 2:45 on Saturday, March 20 in the state semi-finals.
Girls State Playoff Bracket
The State CYO Grade School Girls Basketball Tournament opens on Friday, March 19 at the Blessed Sacrament Gym at 26th and Greengarden. St. George will be representing the Erie Diocese. They open Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. against the team from Greensburg. Here's a link to the complete tournament bracket.
Blessed Sacrament is hosting a fish dinner on Friday, March 19, 4:30 PM – 7 PM. B.S. is also the host of the Girls State Championship basketball tournament, being held March 19-21, in which St. George is participating. All participating teams and their families (as well as the public) are invited to attend the dinner.
Girls Win Diocesan Championship
On Tuesday, March 2, the St. George Girls defeated St. Stephen (the Tri-County champion) 40-28 to win the Erie Diocesan Championship. The Girls have qualified for the state tournament being held March 19-21 at Blessed Sacrament in Erie.
Girls Win Erie Parochial League Crown
On Thursday, Feb. 25, the St. George Girls Varsity defeated Mount Carmel 32-20 to win the Erie Parochial League Championship. Here's the Times-News story on the game.

2009 Season
With a lot of hard work and dedication from both players and parents, the girl’s junior varsity basketball team finished the 2009 season with a 15-7 record. One of the goals of the season was to win the St. George tournament. It was not easy, but they accomplished it. Congratulations to the girl’s team and their coaches. Well done.
