We are proud to announce that your Saint George Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball Teams have won the 2010 Erie Diocesan Championships!!!!

This qualifies our teams for the State Championship Tournaments. This is a tremendous achievement and NO Erie school has sent both of its teams in the same year since 1980. The tournaments will be held March 19h-21st. The boys championships are in Harrisburg, PA and the girls championships are right here in Erie at the Blessed Sacrament Gym.
 

Boys State Playoff Bracket

The SIXTIETH ANNUAL PENNSYLVANIA STATE CYO BOYS GRADE SCHOOL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT is being held MARCH 19-21. It is being hosted by the Diocese of Harrisburg at Bishop McDevitt High School.

The St. George Boys open play on Friday, March 19 at 7 p.m. against the Greensburg Diocese champion. Click here to see the entire tournament bracket.

Girls State Playoff Bracket

The State CYO Grade School Girls Basketball Tournament opens on Friday, March 19 at the Blessed Sacrament Gym at 26th and Greengarden. St. George will be representing the Erie Diocese. They open Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. against the team from Greensburg. Here's a link to the complete tournament bracket. 

Blessed Sacrament is hosting a fish dinner on Friday, March 19, 4:30 PM – 7 PM.  B.S. is also the host of the Girls State Championship basketball tournament, being held March 19-21, in which St. George is participating. All participating teams and their families (as well as the public) are invited to attend the dinner.

Diocesan Playoff Results

Boys, Girls Win Erie Diocesan Championships!

On Tuesday, March 2, both the Saint George Boys and Girls varsity teams won the championship games for the Erie Diocese. The Boys defeated St. Patrick's of Franklin 47-18, while the Girls down St. Stephen's 40-28. Both teams advance to the state playoffs, which will be held the weekend of March 19-21. The Girls state torney will be held in Erie at Blessed Sacrement, while the Boys tourney will be held in Harrisburg.

SGYAA FISH DINNER

THE DINNER DATES HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR MARCH 5TH AND MARCH 26TH. 

St. George Youth Athletic Association Fish Dinners:  St. George will be holding its Lenten Fish Dinners on March 5th, and March 26th in the school cafeteria from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. 

Adult dinners include:  baked or fried fish, rice pilaf with peas, green beans, salad, roll, beverage and dessert - the cost is $8.00
Children’s dinners include:  Pizza, salad, beverage and dessert – the cost is $3.50
