Our Mission
The challenge of tomorrow requires guidance by dedicated leaders of today.
This statement indicates the guidance a Catholic student needs in learning to incorporate the teachings of moral and spiritual values of the Catholic Church in an intellectual, social, and emotional environment.
We at Saint George believe this learning involves skills in four areas, namely:

Evangelization which integrates religious truth and values with life, and differentiates the Catholic school from other schools. Catholic educations-inspires the spirit of learning and accepting responsibility as knowledgeable member of society;
Socialization which enables students to learn and practice skills in offering service to humanity;
Worship which is a means for the students to experience prayer, and the Church's heritage, doctrines, rites, symbols, and values whereby they appreciate a greater relationship between God and themselves;
Education which incorporates the physical, moral, and intellectual Abilities of each student, and projects these abilities beyond the academic years to the productive years in modern society.
This mission can only be realized through the cooperative efforts of students, faculty, administration, parents/guardians, pastoral ministers, and members of the diocesan administration.
Saint George School Philosophy
We, at Saint George Catholic School, perceiving the school as an extension of the family in which every child comes from God, believe that the entire school program should center around the development of the child spiritually, morally, intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally, preparing each student for his/her life experience.
We believe that the atmosphere of the school should be permeated by the Gospel spirit, which will encourage each student to seek and perform a worthy lifetime vocation in the service of God and neighbor. We aim to provide the students with the knowledge and skills necessary to fulfill their obligation to God, themselves, and to society. In order to best meet the individual needs of our students, we believe that the teachers should follow sequential learning programs to achieve short and long range goals with emphasis on creating a student-centered environment. We see the teacher as one who offers support and understanding and is interested in developing the innate abilities of the child. The teacher calls the child to grow as a person, to learn self-discipline, to make responsible choices, to love and to share in creation through the use of unique talents and abilities. We as members of the faculty and administrative staff strive to give witness to Christ by our lives as well as by our teachings. Our example will help each child grow in faith and develop Christian values. Through a warm, accepting reassuring, and family-like atmosphere, we strive to bring the student to an awareness of self which allows each one to relate to others in community in an active rather than a passive way. Additionally, the relationships, interaction, concern for each other and support call the faculty and administrative staff to live the gospel as a faith community.
This relationship among teachers along with consultative, instructional, spiritual, and social relationships with the parents is ideally an ongoing educational experience for the family. We believe that if we offer these many facets of education, each student will be better able to live as a Christian and to contribute responsibility to society.
