Two St. George Wrestlers Place at Area VIII Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling tournament
Congratulations to Deven Abbott and Spencer Staab who placed at this year's Area VIII PJW Tournament. Deven placed third in the 9-10 year-old, 70 pound bracket, while Spencer was fourth in the 9-10 year-old 65 pound weight class.
St. George Takes Second In Diocesan Wrestling Tournament
Congratulations to the St. George Wrestling team which placed 2nd at the Diocesan Wrestling tournament.
The wrestlers placed as follows:
1st place Deven Abbott and Jake Coughenour
2nd place Spencer Staab, Albert Taylor, Max Malinowski, and Kyle Jankowski
3rd place Michael Carman, Joey Gammon, Mark Macek, & Mark Chambers
4th place Mitch Carman, Gian Mecca, & Jeremy Fritz
5th place Dominic Little & Danny Malinowski
Why Wrestling?
The St. George Lancers have a long history of producing the greatest wrestlers in the Erie Diocese. Many wrestlers have won the state title at St. George and many more have gone on to accomplish great things in high school and college.
The St. George Lancers Wrestling Team is inviting all boys of St. George School & Parish to join our program. If you have never wrestled before, our staff has the tools necessary to get you off to a great start. Wrestling is instrumental in developing the skills necessary to compete in a wide variety of sports. Confidence, poise, and discipline are traits that make wrestlers successful on and off the mat.
St. George Wrestling program is Christian based, to ensure that your son will be strong in spirit, mind, and body.
