Saint George School Student Council

 

The Student Council of Saint George School is comprised of class and/or homeroom representatives and officers that are committed to practicing leadership, teamwork, and school relations. 

They create, plan, participate in and promote various school and community service projects throughout the school year.

 

A few examples of past projects the Saint George School Student Council ran include:

  • Food drives for the Saint George Parish Food Pantry

  • Book drive

  • Making fleece blankets for children in the Foster System

  • Refugee Christmas party and picnic

  • Baking and serving the homeless at local area shelters

  • Implementation of a no waste school food campaign

  • Activities at Golden Living Western Reserve with the elderly


Saint George School Student Council members guide the student body, give students a voice and work to create harmony between the faculty, staff, students and the Erie community. The Saint George School Student Council is composed of elected student officers and student representatives from 6th through 8th grade. The members are guided by a school teacher advisor and the school’s principal.

Elections are held each Spring, seeking dynamic, enthusiastic and committed students to join Student Council for the upcoming school year. Interested students must submit an application and follow the application’s requirements and the expectations of Saint George School for consideration. The candidates running for a position on Student Council make posters to promote their campaign for election, which are displayed around the school. Student Council meetings are held monthly after school. Brief meetings may be conducted before or during school hours.
